Day trip in Paris plans so far...

One of the main attractions that we will be visiting while in Paris is the Louvre Museum, since the Louvre is such a monumentally big museum I thought it would be best to do a little research on it. One thing that I found out was that it is closed on Tuesdays, luckily we will be arriving in Paris Wednesday morning (Thank you God!) this was unknown to us at the time when we purchased the tickets but I'm glad that it worked out perfectly.

When we first arrive in Paris it will be early morning (06:20) so this will give us plenty of time to walk around. The bus station where we will be dropped off is not far from the famous Notre Dame cathedral. Since the part of town that we will be dropped off in does not look like the safest place for two pretty girls to be during the early morning we will be taking a cab to Notre Dame (Safety FIRST!). Then the island before the island where the cathedral is located there is a street full of pretty little shops, I thought that this would be a nice place for us to spend a little time to look around, and get some breakfast (breakfast in Paris, isn't that every ones dream?)

Then once we have finished enjoying our first morning in Paris we will begin our walk back to Notre Dame. The Cathedral opens at 07:30 so this is perfect, we will have just the right amount of time to walk around eat and get over to the Cathedral and explore it for a few hours. We will then walk to the northern most point of the island and vist the Sainte-Chapelle, which is a Ornate, 13th-century, Gothic chapel. We will explore this for a while and take many pictures, then off to the Louvre!

From the Sainte-Chapelle it is about a 15 minute walk to the Louvre, the museum opens at 09:00, so we will arrive not long after it opens. Admission is free for visitors under the age of 18,luckly I still have 6 months till I turn 18 :) For adults it is 15 Euros. Since the Louvre is so monumentally enormous my sister and I have decided on some exhibits that we must see. The exhibits include the paintings with 215 works, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities with 275 works, Sculptures with 83 works, decorative arts with 263 works and if possible the prints and drawings with 186 works. Now I highly doubt that we will be able to see all of these exhibits in their entirety but we will sure try!

And after we have spent several hours in the Louvre we will venture out to see the Eiffel tower. It is sure to a beautiful thing to behold, the sun should be setting by that time or be very near the time of sun set, then we will most likely find our way back to the bus station before 21:00 when our next bus leaves for Milan, Italy.

Ciao
